The farmers rejoiced in singing at night With the moon shining bright.

The buds of flowers blossomed Like garlands of pearls

On the banks of rivers;

Chillies were looking red, Farmers were bringing home

The newly harvested grain, Hailing the advent of

The joyous festival of Sankranti.

The way Sankranthi indicates the journey on the path of Uttarayana, Man should ensure that he leads himself on the path of Devayana. Devayana, here, means ensuring that every step that’s taken moves towards God. Following this way one is sure to fulfill the purpose of one’s life!

దినకరుడు శాంతుడై తోచె

దినములంతా కురుచులయ్యేను చలిగాలులు కులుచు హెచ్చే

పొలములోనే గ్రుడ్డి వెన్నెలలోన కుప్పలనూర్చు కాపు గ్రొంతు నెత్తి పదములను ప్రాడనగరి

పచ్చ పువ్వులు జలుపుచేత ముత్యాల సరులు గుచ్చే

మెరక పంటకు కుంకుమ మెరుపు దాల్చే

బంతి పువ్వుల మొహం అల్లంత విప్పే

మన పురంబుల ధాన్యసంపదలు నిలిపే

సరసురాలైన సంక్రాంతి పండుగ వచ్చే సర్వవిధములైన ధాన్యమును ఇండ్ల చేర్చే

ఈ యొక్క సంక్రాంతి ఏ విధంగా అయితే ఉత్తరాయణం వైపు ప్రయాణం సాగిస్తుందో, అట్లే ప్రతి మానవుడు తన యొక్క ప్రయాణమును దేవయానముగా చేసుకోవలెను. దేవయానమనగా ప్రతి అడుగు దైవం వైపు సాగుట, ఇది చేసిన ఎడల ధన్య జీవితాన్ని అందుకుందరు.
