Sai Aarogya- Free Rural Medical Services – Camp 8

Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare under the umbrella of Sai Aarogya (Free Rural Medical Services) conducted its 8th medical camp of the series of 100 medical camps in 100 weeks. The medical camp was held in Gowripuram, Kothapalem and surrounding villages. The medical camps are enabled by state-of-the-art medical van with advanced screening facilities, supported by our esteemed CSR partner GIC Housing Finance Ltd.

In this camp, 540 people benefited with medical screenings and other procedures, of whom, 148 consulted the general physician. While 62 women used the services of the gynecologist, 54 patients consulted the dentist. 67 used Advanced consultations like oncology. 92 were screened for ophthalmology, where 18 will be provided with Spectacles and 15 were referred for cataract surgery. This apart, there were 8 dental extractions and 23 dental scalings conducted. About 83 used the services of the orthopaedic. There were 21 consultations attended to by the paediatrician and 13 by the ENT specialist.

Medicines prescribed were provided free of cost to the beneficiaries.
