Sai Aarogya- Free Rural Medical Services – Camp 5

Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare under the umbrella of Sai Aarogya (Free Rural Medical Services) conducted its 5th medical camp, which is a part of the series of 100 medical camps in 100 weeks, was held in 3 adjacent villages of Gavarapalem colony, Gavarapalem and Ambaadasapalem on 5th January. The medical camps are enabled by state-of-the-art medical van with advanced screening facilities, supported by our esteemed CSR partner GIC Housing Finance Ltd.

In this camp, 472 people benefited with medical screenings and other procedures, of whom, 139 consulted the general physician. While 58 women used the services of the gynecologist, 36 patients consulted the dentist. 45 used Advanced consultations like oncology. 81 were screened for ophthalmology, where 31 will be provided with Spectacles and 15 were referred for cataract surgery. This apart, there were 5 dental extractions and 9 fillings conducted. About 91 used the services of the orthopaedic. Medicines prescribed were provided free of cost to the beneficiaries.
