On June 28th, Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare under the umbrella of Sai Aarogya (Free Rural Medical Services) conducted its 28th medical camp of the series of 100 medical camps in 100 weeks. The medical camp was held in Chinnakhandepalli village (Sri Sai Palle) in Vizianagaram district. The medical camps are enabled by state-of-the-art medical van with advanced screening facilities, supported by our esteemed CSR partner GIC Housing Finance Ltd.
In this camp, 180 people benefited with medical screenings and other procedures, of whom, 77 consulted the general physician. While 2 women used the services of the gynecologist, 14 patients consulted the dentist. 5 used Advanced consultations like oncology. 38 were screened for ophthalmology, where 9 were referred for cataract surgery and 19 were prescribed spectacles. This apart, there were 2 dental extractions and 5 dental scaling conducted. About 25 used the services of the orthopaedic. There were 2 consultations attended to by the ENT specialist. Medicines prescribed were provided free of cost to the beneficiaries.
