“Yada yadaahi dharmasya glanir bhavati Bharata

Abhyuddhanam adharmasya tadaamataanam srijaamyaham

Paritraanaya saadhoonam vinaashayachadushkritaam

The God incarnated, in myriad forms, with the objective of reestablishing the practice of Dharma at various times of crisis in the history of mankind. The story of the most profound incarnation with which God descended amongst humans so far – Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, has been influencing humanity in His sojourn on the Earth. The mother, whether human or otherwise, does not love her children for any recognition or reward. It’s LOVE alone that binds the Universal Mother and Man. Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba varu, out of His Love and compassion of beyond a thousand mothers, doled out many a service in the fields of education, healthcare, water etc. to provide basic needs for the deprived and forlorn.

In this unquenchable pursuit of Our Swami (as HE is lovingly addressed By His devotees) He has blessed the region near Thatipudi reservoir with a Comprehensive free of cost Cancer treatment 100 bedded hospital that would also house a dialysis center. SRI SATHYA SAI DIVYAAMRITAM – the hospital is blessed to cure every patient that would come. Bhoomi puja was performed last November and is it is on schedule to inaugurate OPD services on Swami’s 97th birthday, on 23rd November this year.

The recently concluded holy Navarathri Celebrations, at the holy site of SRI SATHYA SAI DIVYAAMRITAM, witnessed the installation of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swami vaari idol along with that of Bhakta Prahlaada in the temple that Swami chose to construct in this Divine precincts.

Among the various forms of Lord Vishnu, the Narasimha Avatar, that stands out with a typical form combining human body with a ferocious lion’s head, incarnated to save His devotee Prahlada from his father Hiranyakashipu, who challenged the young lad to prove the Omnipresence of Lord Narayana.

Day 1: 2nd Oct 2022

The proceedings of the installation of idol of the Lord Narasimha Swami along with that of His consort Mother Lakshmi and that of His Devotee Prahlada commenced in the evening that coincided with the 7th day of the Navarathri, which coincided the 4th day of the Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yagnam and with the 2nd day of the 2-day Grama Seva launched at the Darbha Bhoomi (as one of the Ritwiks described the Holy precincts).

Punyaha Vachanam was performed where the holy location was consecrated with 21 sacred waters brought from various rivers and pilgrimage centres and Vedic chanting. In His Divine Discourse, Swami enlightened the significance of the day that it happens to be a repeat of what happened 60 years back when Swami then performed Veda Purusha Saptaaha Jnana Yagnam for the first time in Puttaparthi and it happened to again be a Bhanuvaram (Sunday) with Moola Nakshatram.

Day 2: 3rd Oct 2022

In the Morning Suprabhatam, Agni pratishta, Dhanwantari havanam; laghu Poornaahuti, naïvedyam Mangala haarati distribution of prasadam were performed, amidst other rituals performed by the SriVaishnavite priests with immaculate precision.

In the latter part of the day, Jalaadhivasam, Nithya Homam, Maha Ganapathi Prathishta; Adivaasa Havanam, laghu Poornaahuti Veda Vinnapamu, Teertha Goshti, distribution of Prasadam were performed. It was a feast to the eyes watching the proceedings of making the idol rest in the sacred waters.

Swami in His Divine Discourse that followed enlightened everyone with a poem

కంట కన్నీరు పన్నీరు అయేను

నోటి మాట అమృత తుల్యమగును

చేత కర్మలు లోక హితమునకు

వినుడు భారతీయ వీర సుతుడ!

which means that when one engages oneself in selfless activities in the interest of the welfare of the World sorrowful tears are sure to turn into blissful rosewater drops and words uttered would become as sweet as nectar! Swami went on to urge upon everyone to work relentlessly for the welfare of the Universe. With LOVE, Swami said, one can achieve anything, the impossible becomes possible!

The day also witnessed amidst Veda chantings the various rituals performed by the Ritwik Vaishnavite priests. The chief priest described Lord Narasimha as the Ocean of Compassion and that it is the immense fortune of the people in the region to have received the attention of the Lord in the form of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba vaaru as they’re sure to have Swamis’ protection in myriad forms.

Swami, then, went on to add that the area is going to witness complete hunger alleviation, relief for patients suffering from cancer and kidney ailments requiring dialysis, and annihilation of illiteracy by providing education facilities as well.

Later consecration of the idol of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swami continued with the abhishekam performed with water, Panchaamritams . The idol was then placed as per Vedic prescription under the cover of paddy while several other Vedic rituals awaited to be performed the next day.

Day 3: 4th October 2022

In the Morning Supabhaatam; Haarati; Chatusthanaarchana. Bala bhogam, Chaayaadivaasam. Nithya homam, Garuda Prathishta; Adivaasa Havnams, Laghu Poornaahuti Nivedana Veda vinnapamu, Theertha ghosti; and distribution of prsadam were performed.

In His Divine Discourse the Supreme Lord described the occasion as a golden opportunity to be At The Lotus Feet. While expounding the meaning of the Shanti Mantra. He urged upon everyone to seek from the Lord the grace to be led from untruth to the truth; from darkness of ignorance to enlightenment; from cycle of birth and death to immortality. Reminding everyone once again that the body is like an iron safe and the Atma as a golden parrot Swami urged upon everyone to work towards self realisation by giving up identification with the body.

Swami said the village Sri Sai Palle will soon have Auto rickshaws moving in and out bringing people to Swami’s Abode; a bus station, a Railway station and an airport. The place would also be reckoned at par with pilgrimages like Ahobilam and Simhaachalam that would be thronged by devotees from all around.

Swami went on to reiterate that there would be no death in the hospital – SRI SATHYA SAI DIVYAAMRITAM! Swami also went on to reveal that the whole area within a radius of 10 kms from SRI SATHYA SAI DIVYAAMRITAM is cordoned off by a Naga bandham because of which no one can take away even the most negligible think like a broomstick Swami went on to say that this Naga bandham would start operating from the very day after the Vigraha Prathishta i.e the installation of idols. He assured that all villages within this area will have this protection

Swami also went on to reveal why Lord Narasimha Swamys’ idols are installed without installing the idol of Lord Ganesha – that Lord Ganesha would like to see His Father installing Himself first.

Quoting the Nrisimha Mantra ‘Ugram Veeram…’’ Swami urged upon everyone to make friendship with the God and clarified that Nama Smarana is also a Seva. Swami also cautioned that one should be aware of the ego affecting oneself. He gave the very example of Prahlada. At one point of time upon Prahlada showing up his ego about earning the Grace of Lord Narasimha, Narada took him to a place and showed him a heap of bones saying they were, his own, shed over innumerable number of previous births.

In the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha temple yagashala the Homa was performed with the idols consecrated continuously by water and milk while the idol remained in the specially designed and constructed tank. The idol was then carefully brought out to be consecrated further with Sandalwood paste smeared all over the idol. It was a treat to the eyes and the Divine aroma filled the atmosphere all over. Nrisimha Mantra, Purusha Sooktam, Narasimha Kavachyyham and many other Vedic chantings filled the area with Divine vibrations. Heavy rain showers by God Varuna did not hinder any proceedings within the Yaga shaala. Bhajans were sung and Vedic chanting continued with same fervour. At about 8:48 pm the Stapati submitted to Swami that the Vigraha Prathishta ( installation of idol)can be done the next morning at 10:03 am, and the same was approved by Swami.

The evening session ended with a Veena recital. Mangala Haarati was offered to Swami followed by serving Prasadam to one and all.

Day 4: 5th October 2022

The Vijaya Dasami day that celebrates the victory of Good over evil arrived on the 5th of October. The excitement and enthusiasm that filled each and everyone chosen by the Lord to be in His Divine Presence went on increasing every moment. This experience, a mile stone in each of them is sure to empower them further on their path to a meaningful Life.

After offering the Poornahuti in the Homa Kunda at the Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajnam Yagashaala, Swami crossed over to the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swami vari Yagashaala.

The Yaagashaala reverberated with Vedic chanting and with Sri Narasimha Mantra, Sri Narasimha Kavacha Stotram, Sri Narasimha Chaturdasi Maha Mantra, Purusha Sooktam, Sri Vishnu Sahasra Naamam etc.

Ugram Viram Maha Vishnu Jvalantam Sarvato Mukham !

Nrisimham Bhishanam Bhadram Mrityur Mrityur Namamyaham !!

Sri Narasimha Swami is known as the protector who defends and protects His devotees by removing the obstacles that one faces in times of need. I bow down to such a Lord who is ferocious in His looks manifesting fire all around His body. He is considered ferocious and auspicious as the personification of death even by God of death)

The proceedings at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swami Vari Vigraha Prathishta (installation of idol) ceremony were electrifying as the Priests went on for three days continuously consecrating the idol in various ways to invoke the blessings of the Lord, to install Himself at this new Abode of His by energising the idol. The idol was offered Abhishekam in several ways after smearing sandalwood paste all over; then burning Sambrani powder to purify the atmosphere; Chanting of Vedic hymns before it was shifted into the Garbhaalaya (Sanctum Santorum) reaching out to 13’6” at its top from the Ground level.

The idol of His devotee, young lad, Prahlada was also placed close to his saviour. In His revelations made during the Divine Discourse, as to why an idol of Prahlada had also to be placed, Swami clarified that God and devotee go together for, there cannot be the God without a Devotee and there cannot be a devotee without the God. Swami went on to say that “if you’re with the God everything comes to you. Whatever Narasimha receives as offering Prahlada would also get”.

The words of the Priest who came from Simhaachalam are worth sharing to all. A day before the installation proceedings commenced the Priest made a statement out of blue saying that the presence of Lord Vishnu gets confirmation when the proceedings commence next day evening in the Sandhya Samayam (the time when the transition from day to dusk happens) and a Vulture, the divine carrier of Lord Vishnu (Garuda), appears in the sky when Swami arrives into the Divine precincts. When the Lord arrived into His Abode the Ritwik rushed to Swami to confirm having seen a Vulture flying above the Abode as the day started turning into dusk and simultaneously the incarnation of the Yuga arrived. The pristine glow of surrender in the face of the Priest got reflected in the face of none less than the incarnation of the Age.

Thus our Swami, the Supreme Lord installed Himself as Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swami, Saraswati and Annapoorna to bestow the blessed with Health, Vidya, alleviation from hunger, security and alround welfare. Many demiGods and Grama Devathaas also took the opportunity to serve their Lord in other celebrations.
