Meeting with IAS – Special Secretary to Medical and Health Department

On 30th May 2022, a team from Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare including Dr. Kalyan Sarvepalli (Secretary & Trustee) and Sri Subhash met Mr. GS Naveen Kumar – IAS special secretary to Medical and Health Department to discuss the latest updates of the upcoming free-of-cost cancer treatment hospital ‘Sri Sathya Sai Divyaamritam’. The three discussed on various aspects on Cancer Care.

Mr. GS Naveen Kumar cited about the latest cancer status in the state. Dr. Kalyan and Sri Subhash discussed the various possibilities as to how the trust can work hand in hand and help alleviate cancer especially in the needy and rural sections. It was stressed that although there are state of art facilities to cure cancer, there is a need for Palliative care since doctors become helpless beyond a point when it comes to curing advanced cancer in some patients.

Sri Naveen appreciated the service activities being done by the trust with clear objectives of serving the needy & creating livelihoods. The trust team handed over the brochure of the upcoming free-of-cost cancer hospital and updated him about the hospital’s inauguration date.
