Divya Prasada Seva for over 12,000 beneficiaries

The holy occasion of Divya Shivaratri was celebrated with joy and fervour. While the non-stop 12-hour Akhanda bhajans and the Abhishekam of the Shivalingam was being performed on one hand, there was a massive food distribution seva (Divya Prasadam) for devotees that thronged to the 15th-century temple of Sanyaseswara Swamy in Vizianagaram, where the holy Shivarathri was celebrated through the 2 days of Feb 18th and Feb 19th.

The seva was conducted for over 24 hours starting in the afternoon of February 18th, and went up to the evening of February 19th. Over a 1000 kgs of food in the form of pulihora, biriyani, tomato rice, bisibelebaath, tomato upma etc. were distributed to over 12,000 devotees.

The volunteers worked round the clock to prepare fresh food at regular intervals and distributed them throughout, ensuring that the thousands of devotees visiting the temple from various nooks and corners did not go hungry!
