In order to commemorate 75 years of Independence and to sow seeds for India’s Glorious Future, Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare celebrated the entire red-letter day of the 76th Independence Day at various rural and remote schools near Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram empowering young minds in various ways.

Desktop Computer sets were provided to 5 of our adopted schools near Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram. The children were excited that they will soon get to work on a computer system. We believe this will be a step towards bridging the digital gap characteristic in rural areas. This will also empower children as well teachers in their academic journey.

Further, about 200 children studying across 6 schools were provided with a uniform set of t-shirts and tracksuits. The excitement amongst the students, who are from needy rural background, during the distribution was palpable. The team also took the opportunity to distribute good quality stainless steel lunch plates for 50 Anganwadi children studying in the rural schools.

As India aims to use the launchpad of 75 years of independence and fly higher in the next 25 years, we strongly believe investing in children, our future blocks, is a very crucial factor that will help us reach the glorious goal of national welfare! And that is exactly what was attempted on this wonderful occasion of Indian Independence Day!
