Day 7 proceedings : Dasara Divya Mahotsavamulu and Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yagyam

The seventh day of the Navarathri, dedicated to Goddess Kaalratri aspect of Mother Durga, was celebrated with all divine auspiciousness. The divine precincts of Sri Sathya Sai Divyaamritam rose ahead of the sun as the main rituals for the day were performed enthusiastically and dedicated to the Divine Mother. There were also Sai Gayathri Homam and Sudarshana Homam conducted along with the regular rituals. One of the priests Sri Yeshwanth Kumar, an expert in the Sama Veda, gave out deep insights on the Sama Veda, its various branches and how sangeetham originated from the Sama Veda. The speaker for the day, from the Art of Living organization, Sri Narasimhachari expounded on Paramatma and how human birth is a rare fortune and phenomenon that one has to sincerely use to attain liberation. He also emphasized on the importance of Vedas as a means to bring about transformation in all. Swami followed this with His divine discourse that extolled Mother Sharada and went on to emphasize the need for patience for one to experience the highest truth. Swami talked about the pace of divine good work happening here and how that good times are here to come. He finished His Discourse touching upon the aspects of Indian culture and Sanathana Dharma.

The evening’s programme, along with the daily divine rituals for Navarathri, had the local group ‘Thappedagullu’ perform their songs on life and essence of Lord Sri Rama. The evening’s proceedings concluded with Divya Prasadam served to all.
