The 10-day long Celebrations, designed for invoking the blessings of Divine mothers Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswati and to earn the Grace of our Swami Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba Who is none other than the Veda Purusha took off in a grand manner as scheduled on Monday, 26th September. The morning session started with an invocation to Lord Ganesha through a pooja followed by a Go Pooja offered in gratitude to mother cow.
Kalasha Stapana was performed followed by many important rituals, like Punyahavachanam for sanctifying the precincts; Raksha Bandhana dharana; Ritwik Varana followed by Deeksha Vastra Dharana for preparing the Ritwiks to do their part during the Dasara Samarambhaalu.
Thereafter, Yagashala pravesham took place and mandapaaradhana was performed followed by chanting Rudram and Lalita Sahasra Naama. Thus the session ended with Mangala Aarathi and partaking of Divya Prasadam by all those blessed.
The evening session started with a powerful rendition of Vedas. Bhagawan Baba delivered a Divine Discourse emphasising the importance of Navaratri Celebrations. The evening then set into a musical mode with the renowned singer Smt. Madhavi Krishna garu offering various divine tunes soulfully at the Lotus Feet of Baba. The famous All India Radio artist also happens to be a chosen guest singer at Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD). She sang so mellifluously as to please the Lord with her total devotion on a day that happened to be her birthday too, impressing the Lord with her melodious voice laden with bhakthi. The evening session was brought to a close with Mangala Aarathi and Divya Prasadam.
Thus the Day 1 Celebrations came to a conclusion that left the devotees guessing on the many more celebrations and Divine blessings in store and yet to come for each one of them.
