What makes this device remarkable is its precision. Using visible light and the auto-fluorescence properties of oral tissue, combined with SNP genotyping and AI-based image analysis, it distinguishes between inflammatory and dysplastic lesions with a level of accuracy that was previously available only through expensive, imported technology. For our organization, this could not have arrived at a more meaningful moment. Our Free Rural Medical Services have already screened over 30,000 individuals across 137+ camps, with nearly 9% found cancer-positive in the Vizianagaram and Srikakulam belt alone — proof of how urgent and widespread this need truly is in underserved rural communities.
