On Sunday, 17th July 2022, Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare organized a holistic youth empowerment programme at the elegant venue of BhagyaSri Function Hall in Pedagantyada area in Visakhapatnam. The activity attracted scores of adoloscents and young adults, filled with zeal to create a great future for themselves and the world.
Brother Siva Sai heartily welcomed the young minds to the programme and provided a broad outline of the same. One of the trustees Sri VSS Chaitanya addressed the audience likening them to be the very children of the trust, and promising them of all support and attention for a bright future. Secretary of the trust Dr. Kalyan Sarvepalli expounded the framework of SAPP comprising the 4 segments of Spirituality, Academics, Personal and Professional, and advised them with tips to enhance their learning and caliber. He clearly emphasized on teaching or sharing knowledge as well as developing thirst and ensuring availability for knowledge. He called for the youth to play active roles for societal welfare.
Sri Kumar, Project Director of the Divine Housing project under the trust weighed upon the youth to develop the attitude of gratitude. He strongly underscored the need to make constructive use of technology and to stay away from its pitfalls. Videos on various service activities were presented that went on to motivate everyone present.
Next, we had the honour of having a series of inspiring personalities address the youth. Retired naval officer Sri Murali garu spoke on the impact of the various service activities he is involved in and told he was blessed to a part of this programme. The principal of Balavikasa Bharathadesam school inspired the youth with his vision of translating his passion for serving the nation in the form providing free education to needy children at his school. Professor Chandra spoke next, highlighting the importance of content over appearance and how comfort zone has to be overcome for success in one’s life.
Trustee Ramamurthy elucidated about the trust activities and the mission. Sri Hemanth offered an inspirational account of his consistent involvement in the night hunger alleviation programme (Divya Prasada Seva) and working on a side hustle of distributing newspapers in the wee hours before sunrise. Sri Srinivas Boppa, president of the trust, delivered the vote of thanks and brought the programme to a conclusion.
The youth who were exposed to a series of inspirational talks by stalwarts and wonderful citizens had a lot to take back with them! We are grateful to the auditorium’s management, who being inspired by Bhagawan Baba’s Love and the trust’s humanitarian activities allowed us to use the hall free of cost. We were thus reminded that Love shared with others comes back manifold!
