In what can be called a landmark event, Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare, with the Divine Guidance and Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, in its continuous endeavour to provide state-of-art free healthcare to one and all, has established *Sai Soukhyam*, a 5-bedded free-of-cost kidney dialysis center in Hyderabad that would benefit the needy! Sai Soukhyam, driven by the motto ‘Arogyam Parama Soukhyam’, is sure to provide respite to thousands of needy compelled to go through the rigour of dialysis operation in the times to come.
The inauguration of this holy service took place at Sumithra Hospital in Uppal in Hyderabad on the holy occasion of ‘Eshwaramma Day’ – a day dedicated to Bhagawan Baba’s mother -Eshwaramma, whose name will ever remain etched in the Hearts of the devotees of Swami. She was not only the one chosen to be His Mother to make His entry into the World but like a Jivi blessed by Him she also assumed the role as His divine daughter! As a sadhaka, she set an example to the world by always striving to work for the welfare of the needy. Her prayers to Him gave Puttaparthi village a school, a well and a Primary Healthcare center in the earlier days which in the later years became the foundation for Universities that impart education to thousands of students, gigantic water projects that quench the thirst of millions and super speciality hospitals that blessed many a suffering with fresh lease of life!
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. MV Prasad, MD of Sumithra hospital and an orthopaedic surgeon, expressed his pleasure and gratitude to be a part of this noble initiative.
Sri Rama Mohan Rao, Ex-CEO of Sparsh Hospice, a yeoman in social service, called this development a miracle in its speed of execution while maintaining the quality. The trustees, on their part opined that this is just the beginning of and a pilot project for a larger revolution to unfold in the space of free world-class healthcare. The principal architect, Sri Nalam Subba Rao, in his inspiring words, took the gathering through how he witnessed a quick miracle in the setting up of this temple of healing.
Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare has already on the anvil 2 free-of-cost comprehensive care cancer hospitals upcoming (one with OPD functional and another with Bhoomi Pooja completed) along with many more to come up in various parts of the country to take free healthcare to doorsteps of more needy. With the kidney dialysis center Sai Soukhyam now inaugurated and more to come, the trust is looking comfortably poised to provide succour to innumerable needy in the years to come!
