Day 9: Dasara Mahotsavamulu
The Ninth day of Sharannavaratrulu dedicated to the worship of the Universal Mother in the form of Mahishaasura Mardini coincided with the sixth day of the Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajnam.
The rituals included all the procedures as in the other days after which the Sahasranama Lingaarchana was performed.
Speaking on the occasion a Guest speaker highlighting Swami as Ananda Pradayini appreciated the Trust’s initiatives in the areas of health care; alleviation of hunger; supporting literacy and channelling the rural youth skills into selfless service. The MLA who attended the Yajna Homam lauded the efforts put forth by the Trust in bringing about development in the project site and surrounding areas in myriad ways in a short time.
In His Divine Discourse Swami described the God incarnate Rama as the embodiment of Bliss who conferred the Highest Comfort to one and all whoever sought His refuge. Saying that today’s man is a combination in qualities of Rama and Ravana urged upon everyone to cultivate the attitude of Rama by sharing and sacrificing for the sake of the Needy. Thereafter swami proceeded to the Yaagashaala where sacrificial offerings were made for the installation of Dhwaja Stambha aarohana and then Poornaahuti was offered.
Arrangements were then made by the Ritwiks for the Ksheeraabdivaasam of the idols to be installed the next day the Vijaya Dasami day! Elaborate plans were made for the Dhwaja stambha stapana and the installation of the Mother Annapoorna Devi, Jaya Vijaya idols by following Aagaama Sastram and performing Lakshmi Narasimha Swami vari Kalyanam the next day.
Talking on the occasion Swami enlightened that the project area near Visakhapatnam in the extreme other corner of the Andhra Pradesh state (compared to Puttaparti)was chosen by the Lord so as-to cover and benefit the entire Telugu area.
After offering Aarati Divya Prasadam was served to one and all.
