On May 6th, on the occasion of Mother Eswaramma Day, Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare under the umbrella of Sai Aarogya (Free Rural Medical Services) conducted its 21st medical camp of the series of 100 medical camps in 100 weeks. The medical camp was held in Malliveedu village, in parallel to the inauguration of SoHam Home for the Aged, in Vizianagaram district. The medical camps are enabled by state-of-the-art medical van with advanced screening facilities, supported by our esteemed CSR partner GIC Housing Finance Ltd.
In this camp, 184 people benefited with medical screenings and other procedures, of whom, 64 consulted the general physician. While 11 women used the services of the gynecologist, 19 patients consulted the dentist. 31 were screened for ophthalmology, where 8 were prescribed spectacles. This apart, there were 4 dental fillings and 6 dental scalings conducted. About 43 used the services of the orthopaedic. There were 16 consultations attended to by the paediatrician.
Medicines prescribed were provided free of cost to the beneficiaries.
