Notebook Drive for Rural School Children – Pedagantyada Mandal, Visakhapatnam District

The Education pillar of Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare has been, apart from working towards building an educational residential campus near Vizianagaram to provide entirely free education, has been supporting students in needy families through Sai Scholarships and rural government schools through Uniform distribution, digital education enabling infrastructure like computers etc.

In order to further support the education of children in rural government schools, Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare has launched the NoteBook Drive where each child is provided with 4 high quality notebooks. As Bhagawan Sri Sathya Baba says, books and the writing skills acquired through them stay on with these young minds for a lifetime.

As a part of this Notebook Drive initiative, the Notebook Distribution in Pedagantyada Mandal in Visakhapatnam was carried out to coincide with the upcoming Deepawali festival to light the lamp of knowledge amongst the children.

This drive in Pedagantyada, that was in support and collaboration of PRINTMANN OFFSET PVT(CSR Partner Event) Ltd., benefitted over 2100 children across the 32 Rural Govt MPP Schools going children, totally distributing over 8400 notebooks in Pedagantyada Mandal.

The children expressed their gratitude with their beautiful smiles and innocent enthusiasm. The teachers and parents of the children expressed their gratitude and were much happy to hear about various service activities carried out by the trust.
