The main instrument for a country’s prosperity and welfare is quality education. Education determines the course as well as pace of our nation’s progress. A recent survey by National Statistical Office (NSO) has revealed that around 12.6% of students drop out of schools in India, 19.8% discontinued education at the secondary level, while 17.5% dropped out at the upper primary level. Economic conditions, without a surprise, has been the top factor among many for a student to dropout at any point.
The Education wing of Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare is in the process of building a free-of-cost residential education campus Sri Sathya Sai Divya Bharati for needy students near Vizianagaram.
The trust is also endeavouring further by providing scholarships, laptops for online classes for needy students, notebook drives and is also bridging the rural digital gap through e-libraries and desktop drives at rural government schools etc.
Particularly, in the area of scholarships, Sai Scholarships programme has already reached out to over 100 needy deserving students from various age groups while ensuring that the deserving needy do not miss the scholarship support by carrying out one-to-one due diligence in respect of each and every student seeking the support.
It is time, now, for our nation to shine brighter and every boy and girl to scale greater heights to bring prosperity to our Motherland.
