Makara Sankranti Celebrations: Day 2 – 15th January 2024 : Inauguration of Cancer Screening Medical Van

Bhagawan Baba always ensures that all celebrations including festivals are accompanied by service activities to serve the needy. This year’s Makara Sankranti seemed to be no exception! The first day, 14th January, saw the inauguration of Divine Housing Project for a needy family headed by a widow mother of young children, whose bread winner was no more. Bhagawan Baba’s Love ensured that the needy family now has a permanent shelter!

Coming to Day 2, Swami inaugurated a medical van dedicated to screening various cancers such as breast cancer, cervical cancer and oral cancer. The ongoing ‘Sai Aarogya’ based Weekly Medical camps in rural areas have helped rural women from remote areas to check and screen themselves. Thus, the dedicated Cancer Screening Medical van, which would run in parallel to current weekly medical camps, would ensure the welfare of thousands of needy families (both women and men) who have no access to advanced screenings anywhere near their villages. Needless to say all the services are free of cost to the beneficiaries.

The second day of Makara Sankranti, apart from the above inauguration, also had abhisekham and homam for Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at the temple. A brief satsang, which was attended by guests from Ramky Foundation and JSW, took place. The day’s proceedings came to a conclusion with Divya Prasadam served to all.
